Entryway Before & After

I've gotten some requests to see more before and afters of the parts of the house we've finished. But, even the "finished" rooms aren't really finished. There are little things in each of those rooms that still need to be done, so I'll be showing more "before and durings."

So since we're still very much a work in progress over here, I'll start with the one area of the house that is actually done...the entryway.

Here are a couple of before pics...

We replaced the hideous light fixture (why are they still even making ones that look like that?) with a recessed light, changed all the doors in the house from standard white to solid mahogany, installed new molding everywhere, and painted of course. Here's the after (taken in November, hence the Christmas tree)...


Inside the entry closet we keep the shoes we wear most often, coats and sweaters, etc.

Pretty Anthro hooks...

And a basket for miscellaneous stuff like tote bags and extra purses...

That's it. Our only completely finished space. Next week I'll show you the before and during of the living room.
