So since we're still very much a work in progress over here, I'll start with the one area of the house that is actually done...the entryway.
Here are a couple of before pics...
We replaced the hideous light fixture (why are they still even making ones that look like that?) with a recessed light, changed all the doors in the house from standard white to solid mahogany, installed new molding everywhere, and painted of course. Here's the after (taken in November, hence the Christmas tree)...
Inside the entry closet we keep the shoes we wear most often, coats and sweaters, etc.
Pretty Anthro hooks...
And a basket for miscellaneous stuff like tote bags and extra purses...
That's it. Our only completely finished space. Next week I'll show you the before and during of the living room.

Wow...love the look! The new doors are beautiful...amazing how it warmed the area and just gave it a whole different feel...much more substantial, and dare I say...more highend. :-) Love the little comments on the first pic...what program do you use to add those? Great idea because it shows your reader exactly what you want them to notice...so we really see all the great changes afterwards.

ReplyDeleteThanks Susan and Michelle! I use Photoshop to add the writing on the pictures.
